Gecko Termite Habitat
Geckos can survive in a variety of climates and atmospheres. They have been found in deserts and rainforests alike. As mostly nocturnal creatures, they are only seen during the nighttime. As cold-blooded reptiles, geckos prefer areas that are warm and humid. They often congregate toward properties when nighttime lights attract insects.
Gecko Behaviors, Threats, or Dangers
Geckos are considered beneficial in helping reduce the number of insects. However, they can be destructive when they get into your property. Geckos often get into air conditioner units to build nests, which can cause irreparable damage. The good news is that geckos are not poisonous nor do they often bite. When they do bite, they rarely pierce the skin. Occasionally, geckos can carry salmonella. If you have spotted gecko activity in or on your property, always contact a professional wildlife control expert for help.
